Charlie Wheeler,

Charlie, as is well known, is a resident of Ngare Ndare area. He is an accomplished conservationist and a farmer who has wide experience in ranching, livestock and forest Management and is widely consulted on matters of forest conservation. He is the director of Tassia Lodge with wide knowledge in tourism. He has been involved in Ngare Ndare Forest since inception in 1992 as the head of the Ngare Ndare Forest working group and oversaw the power fencing of the forest and formation of Ngare Ndare Forest Trust in 2004. He initiated partnership with Kenya Forests Service leading to a concession agreement in 2006. He has passion for wildlife, community development and tourism.

Dominic Maringa,
Project Manager

Dominic Maringa has a wide experience in community development having worked as project Manager at Ngusishi water users Association since 2008 to 2011 and as the head of out growers' project at East African Growers Ltd since 2005 to 2008. Dominic graduated from Moi University, Kenya, with a Bsc Forestry degree in 2002 and later with a Master of Arts degree in Project Planning & Management, of the University of Nairobi.

Samson Kinyaga,
Project Accountant & Ecotourism Co-ordinator,

Samson Kinyaga couples as the Trust's accountant and heads the ecotourism department. He co-ordinates all the bookings and ensures a smooth running of day to day activities in various eco-sites within the forest. He gained a lot of experience from the renowned Lewa Wildlife Conservancy having worked as an accountant in the year 2011 before joining Ngare Ndare Forest Trust in August 2011. He holds a CPA 2 and is currently undertaking a Bachelors degree in Business Administration at the Kenya Methodist University. He was born and raised in the Ilngwesi community bordering Lewa in the Northern side, has a wide experience and passion in both wildlife and forest conservation. Since he joined the Trust, he has made significant strengths in Finance and Ecotourism departments.
